In addition to the top songwriters awards, the New York Songwriters Circle will award one songwriter who is between 8 to 18 years with the young songwriters award and a cash prize of $1000 towards a music scholarship.

This award is designed to give one amazing young songwriter an opportunity to showcase their music to our network of top music industry judges live during our finale events in New York City in November as well as a $1000 cash prize to continue developing their talents.

Eligibility:

All submissions from member writers who are between 8 to 18 years of age at the time of their submission are eligible. Submit your songs to us by September 30th, 2008. (Not a member yet? Click here to register for free).

If you prefer to mail in your submission please allow sufficient time for mail delivery. All mail submissions must be received by our New York offices by September 30th, 2008. please print and fill out the 2008 Mail in submission form (PDF format), and include it with your music to us on CD. Make sure to follow all of the instructions detailed on the form to insure that we receive and process your submission as quickly as possible. You will receive an email confirming we have received your submission once it has been processed.
